Näituse kuraator Sandra Lääne juhtimisel tutvutakse nii keeruliste toidutootmist puudutavate teemadega, kuulatakse taimede kõnelusi, osteldakse MUHKi mängupoes ja uuritakse tulevikutoite. Muidugi ei puudu tuurilt ka lood näituse loomise telgitagustest.

Led by exhibition curator Sandra Lääne, the tour explores some of the complex questions surrounding food production. Listen in on conversations between plants, shop at MUHK’s playful store and discover what we might be eating in the future.

Along the way, Sandra will also share behind-the-scenes stories about how the exhibition was created.

Muld ei ole pelgalt pind me jalge all, vaid elav ökosüsteem, mis seob omavahel taimed, loomad, vee, õhu ja inimese. See on meie toidu ja keskkonna alus. Samal ajal on muld habras – inimtegevus võib selle viljakust nii luua kui ka hävitada.

The engaging and interactive exhibition “Why Do I Need Soil?!” explores one of the biggest challenges of our time: how can we sustainably feed a growing global population? The answer begins with soil.

Soil is much more than the ground beneath our feet. It is a living ecosystem that connects plants, animals, water, air and people, forming the foundation of both our food and our environment. At the same time, soil is fragile – human activity can either improve its fertility or destroy it.
